[ View event poster ] Schools honoured with environmental awards The students of thirteen local public schools were recently honoured by the County of Wellington for their outstanding commitment to the environment and involvement with the Green Legacy Tree Planting Programme. [ Media Release ] Major gains made by students in provincial EQAO grade 9 math assessments Students in grade 9 mathematics programs at Upper Grand secondary schools continue to achieve above provincial averages in the annual EQAO assessments showing a five percentage point gain for students studying at the applied level, and six percentage points for those in academic programs. [ More ] Primary and Junior (Grade 3 and 6) EQAO results released Results for Upper Grand District School Board primary (grade 3) and junior (grade 6) students who wrote the provincial EQAO Assessments in May show that students’ scores increased in four of the six areas covered – primary writing (up five percent) and math (up one point), and junior reading and math (up three and one percent) – and in all areas are hovering near provincial averages.
